2010 Tuna-Ment Application

The Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association (MSSA) along with our sponsors would like to invite you to participate in our 21st Annual Tuna-Ment. This year's tournament will be held June 25- 27, 2010.

The Official Weigh-In Stations will be at Sunset Marina, Ocean City, MD – Wachapreague Marina, Wachapreague, VA and Chincoteague, VA. Sunset Marina offers plenty of parking for boat trailers and has ramp access.

Captain's meetings for the Tuna-Ment will be held on Thursday – June 24th at Alltackle, Ocean City, MD; and at the Wachapreague Seaside Marina in Wachapreague, Virginia. Both Captain's meetings on the 24th will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. If you are unable to attend a Captains meeting you may sign up online, by phone, or facsimile.

This tournament is open to ALL anglers. All tuna except false albacore are eligible. The largest fish will be determined by weight. There will be five optional skill levels to enter. In addition, there will be special categories for dolphin and bluefish.

We would like to remind you that you must possess a Highly Migratory Species Permit (HMS) for this tournament. Since you will be registering and purchasing a HMS you will not need to register for the Federal Saltwater Angler Registry.
